Compaq has selected a powerful 2.53 GHz Pentium 4 processor for the Presario 6370US, and complemented it with 512 MB of fast SDRAM memory and a 64 MB NVidia GeForce MX420 graphics card. This system 'engine' is more than enough for virtually any application currently on the market, although ardent gamers or 3D animators may want to add a faster graphics card at a later date.

Sporting a massive 120 GB hard disk, the unit offers plenty of on-board storage room for all your programs, files and downloaded MP3s. If you need even more space, you can backup and archive your files on the integrated 40x (Write) 10x (Rewrite) 40x (Read) optical drive, which also allows you to listen and burn audio CDs and enjoy the latest cinematic releases.

THIS COMPUTER ROCKS!it starts up really fast(3sec) the system is soo quiet u cannot even hear it when its on.The modem seems alot faster then my old computers modem JUST BUY THIS ONE ITS GREAT !!

This is a great choice for anyone looking for a mid to high end PC. This system has a nice array of components and Compaq's reliability is pretty good. If you are a heavy 3D gamer you may have to upgrade the graphics within a year or so, but that's true of most of the systems sold today.
